CFDnetwork Engineering provides training courses in the field of turbomachinery.

• The basic course contains basic principles of turbomachines, design steps of impellers and volutes and practice of CFturbo software.
• The user course focuses on handling of CFturbo and gives a short overview of theoretical background.
• Other topics can be arranged individually to meet the specific needs of the customers.
• The courses are addressed to staff from research and development, managment, marketing, sales and other areas, which want to get detailed knowledge about turbomachinery and modern, CAE based design methods.

(1) User course "CFturbo"

Practise CFturbo + theory overview (1 day)

• Presentation of CFturbo, overview, strategy
• Theoretical basis of CFturbo
• Software handling, interfaces
• Practise, questions

Expences

Euro 960,-- + VAT per participant

The one-day User course is free of charge for new customers of CFturbo.

The training can be extended on request by special topics, e.g. detailed theory of pump design, integration in the CAE process, flow simulation (CFD).
The contents can be defined in cooperation with the customer.
The daily rate is Euro 960,--.

(2) Basic course "Pump design"

Pump design + practise CFturbo (2 days)

• (a) Introduction
  company profil, services in the field of turbomachinery, computer based design process, future plans of software development
• (b) Basic principles of pumps
  classification of turbomachines, basic physical principles, power and efficiency, pumping plant
• (c) Geometrical description
  Bezier splines, conformal mapping
• (d) Impeller design
  main dimensions, meridional contour, blade angles, mean lines, blade profiles
• (e) Volute design
  volute types, inflow, geometry calculation, diffusor
• (f) Handling CFturbo
  main window, meridional contour, blade design, volute design, additional features, interfaces
• (g) Practise CFturbo
  individual training and examples

Expences

The expences of the training course depend on the content, on the number of participants and the location (at CFDnetwork or at customer's).

Printed training material is included.
